One of the things I really appreciate about the Harris/Walz message is that Democracy and freedom are a fight. It’s WORK. It’s not something that happens passively. In fact, the exact opposite happens if you’re passive.
Passive societies curve toward authoritarianism because no one stands up to say it’s wrong.
Democracy, human rights, freedom… none of those are the default. Collectively we have to want it, and make it so.
Let’s keep up the fight.
