Riding the DC Metro to Dulles (en route to Aspen https://gwagner.com/aspen-2024), and decidedly of 2 minds:
The efficiency is a marvel. Hard to beat the productivity of train travel.
On the other hand: 45km, 45min, most of it in the median of an 8-to-10-lane highway. 🤷🏽♂️
