Third, I want to speak to accomplishments beyond hitting a mileage goal. Managing a stomach issue successfully in the heat. Expressing my need to run some “solo” loops to both Nils and Jameson. Managing foot pain to see if I could keep running, then adjusting my goal and my pace when it became clear I could not. I keep coming back to this as I continue to process the more complex feelings that swirl around everything not going as expected.
