When Rachel Reeves (or for that matter any politician) says they are making difficult or hard choices & then raises taxes on, or reduces benefits for the poor & vulnerable (or rescues services available to them).... this belies their statement.
Like any bully, the 'difficult' choice is not to target the weak & ill-resourced who fear or are unable to fight back.
The difficult or hard choice would be target those whose wealth & influence shields them... that *would* be 'brave'!
