Same in Spain: the establishment is pro-democracy until the population votes the "wrong" party. It's all a scam.
Seems that Belgium has the same coalition agreement to box out the right as France. Not really aware of local politics but I'm going to guess that every party is running this proxy voting scheme/ scam to some level, but of course you only punish your enemies
