DETAILS: Two more Volusia County students have been arrested on felony charges after posting about a school shooting threat that they later claimed was a joke.

The School Resource Deputy at Taylor Middle-High School in Pierson responded Wednesday after the post was reported.

Trinity Mack (age 17) sent a photo on Snapchat today that said “Imma shoot up the school” with her school laptop in the background.

Brayden Severance (16) replied “Same.”

This occurred immediately after Taylor Middle-High School broadcast an announcement to the entire student body with the warning that all threats are taken seriously and “jokes” are not only unacceptable, they can lead to expulsion and arrest. Both students were taken into custody on a felony charge of making a written threat of a mass shooting, transported to the Volusia Family Resource Center for processing, and then transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice to be held in secure detention.
