How does "president for life" sound?
Since his second term is going so well, Trump is starting to talk about a third term. It's against the constitution, but don't count on that stopping him.
Asked by NBC News about a scenario involving Vice President Vance, Trump said "that's one" method. A 1999 Minnesota Law Review article called "The Twice and Future President" explains that a twice-elected president could become vice president and then — if the current president were to be removed from office, resign or die — return as commander in chief. Another equally sleazy possibility is for Trump to serve as speaker of the House and then become president through Presidential Succession Act of 1947.
