Balance is the key for me I think - I will try it again, just need to not lose myself to it for too long.
That's kind of why I gravitate towards solo-gaming (or couch co-op with my partner) tbh, and don't play online anymore - it's way more leisurely and there is no feeling of having to keep up with everyone else.
I could excavate just 1/4 of that hill next time, it'll still be there when I boot it back up the next day 😅
