Could society ever come to widely acknowledge something like the witch trials or Shakespeare being a physiological operation?
Unless something fundamental changes about power, I don't think it could ever be allowed to be. It can't be commonly accepted that power can use psychological means to increase or maintain control.
The cold fact is power by force is largely a myth. Power is mostly coercion with 1% targeted force.
