I tried to stay out of it as long as I could. But I sent an email to clients I know using WP and are WPE / WP.com customers with some links to the whole #wordpress drama. (I did not advise any action in the email, only informative)
At this point I won’t even rule out some form of supply chain attack by Matt to deface WPEngine hosted blogs.
That would surely be an additional escalation, but with his current behavior I will not rule any (stupid) scenario out anymore.
