The problem is that it all depends on the doctor. We had one family doc for the kids that was routinely at least 30-40 minutes late, always with some lame excuse (the worst was when we showed up for a scheduled appointment, had to wait over an hour, and then found out that the office didn’t have a record of it - lost in a move between offices or something - and the doctor suggested that *we* were mistaken 😠).
On the other hand, my personal GP is almost always bang on time. If I have to wait more than 10 minutes past the appointment time, it's surprising (and I usually hear an apology). The receptionists answer their phones, and I’ve been able to get in to see my doctor on the same day for things that pop up. I'm going to be sorry when she retires…
