There's a lot of hand twisting about speculative execution these days and it makes me sad. Essentially all it really is is you make a clone of someone where you think they ought to be and if it turns out you guessed wrong you just shoot it and make the original walk to their destination. This is how basically how all modern transportation works it's not just elevators people.
