one thing that is rather odd, to me, to see re-emerging as a not-uncommon behavior here on the fediverse is the practice of announcing to someone that you're blocking and/or muting them. I thought we'd all outgrown doing that years ago when we were still on twitter, why would we start again now, in this purportedly better place?
