Consolidation of utxos is never a clear cut issue. Co-spending has to occur sometimes. Still I certainly agree that that aspect should be taken into account.
Yes, I know this is not a novel idea *in general*. I'm mostly wondering how easy we can make it for self sovereign users with automation (and also wondering if it's economically viable).
