The Jade sounds like a good device. I use a Trezor Model T. Years before the Jade came out.
I like Jade's virtual secure element. I do a similar thing with my Trezor and a high entropy BIP39 passphrase\password.
But I just can't comfortably trust anything closed source for important security. All secure elements are closed source..🤔
