I see that some are advocating for scrambling #web content as a defense against #scrapers. There is a #SlipperySlope here: recently I notice that Zhihu (the Chinese equivalent of Quora) will scramble Chinese characters on pages if it thinks that the #browser is illegitimate, and Cromite (a privacy-focused Chromium fork) is somehow affected by this. I fear that widespread adoption of such, especially by commercial entities, could bar "non-approved" browsers from the web, which is concerning.
