Emeritus Prof Christopher May on Nostr: Its sort of clear that an office romance kept secret might compromise decision-making ...
Its sort of clear that an office romance kept secret might compromise decision-making but some organisations (e.g. ITV & the #NHS) now want to know about friendships, on the same basis.
The Q. is how can we tell when a 'normal' friendship becomes one that corrupts decisions?
On a more general level, how much information/knowledge of an employee's private life should be legitimately demanded by an employer?
There are no easy answers about where the line should be drawn.
