Most of the activity on fediverse goes on via erotica servers, although those will probably not be visible in the future due to censorship. Yesmap has 70 monthly active accounts and has resisted censorship. MAPSupport has been resilient to censorship because of its rules, similar to this one. The aim of both servers is to go under the radar and be visible to internet archaeologists at some point in the future, but I know less about MAPSupport. It's owner is a single point of failure, as far as I know. You should maintain accounts on multiple servers.
