The fall of the Dutch govt reminds me of a some TV I saw 25 years ago in den Haag.
A reporter asked an old boy in the street what he thought about the govt housing foreigners in his neighbourhood.
“Economic migrants you mean?” He said with typical Dutch directness, then continued
“Like my brother who moved to Canada in the ‘50s. We were a poor country, we needed help then and we got it. Now we are rich, it is right that we help others.”
And stomped off leaving the reporter floored.
