I'm just saying that was what the word meant originally. It's like the answer to P2P failing us and being too complicated etc. Nostr was supposed to be a simple hybrid of a few harder concepts that never took off.
Anyway, I'm not saying relays have to stay like this, relays can and already do push messages around everywhere if they want.
