We have amazing musicians like Björk and Laufey who at home constantly lose out in awards and popularity to absolute garbage like Prettyboitjokko
Most of the genuinely great Icelandic musicians also had to be discovered abroad first because locals just dismissed Sigurrós as noise, Björk as a bad singer, and Laufey as boring.
