Our media go way overboard on the outward-facing aspect at times, but IMO probably the most egregious in recent years has been their coverage of the British monarchy.\n\nThe election is chaotic and ghastly voyeurism of the train wreck sort, and by rights it ought to be covered, since the whole world could be cleaning up the aftermath.
