I don't care much about EasyEDA anyway, but I really hope they drop this bullshit for another reason: If you want to have a, say, KiCad design fab'ed by JLC with colorful silk, it's easy enough to reverse their encryption and produce compatible files. However, those files will then forever be locked to JLC, and you will have to export a new set of files for every other board house.
