Wondering why there suddenly seem to be all these "American reacts to British electric plugs -- says they're wonderful!" and other #YouTube videos talking up British plugs over U.S. plugs.
Frankly, I consider British plugs to be bulbous abominations. Are they safer? Yeah. Unless you step on one in your bare feet.
But they're a quintessential example of overdesign from a country that until recently didn't permit mixing hot and cold water taps.
