springtime is still here.

not a haiku
i lay in bed
as ellie snores
and crunch on cadbury mini eggs
as late spring storms pour down from georgia.

a summer moon?
not on the calendar - yet.
days and weeks left,
until it rises over longleaf pines.
the bag will surely be empty by then.

note
i do not eat a lot of candy, but I love cadbury mini eggs. i have a three pound bag in my nightstand, hidden from the kids.
