Texas Republicans are making their fascist lists of undesirables again. and won't let trans people update their IDs. But that's not the worst of it.
"The Texas Department of Public Safety now bars transgender Texans from changing the sex listed on their state identification card — and will track people who request a gender marker update.
In an internal Aug. 20 email leaked to the Texas Newsroom, the department announced it would no longer accept court orders or amended birth certificates to change a person’s sex on their driver’s license or Texas identification card. Gender markers will now only be updated to fix clerical errors."
Texas law enforcement will no longer accept court orders.
