I really appreciate the noncompliance, the civil disobedience, I just don’t think that will scale and I’d really like to see more commerce on nostr in the US.
Until guidance or new laws get made, zap growth will be hindered.
The US is expecting $28 billion over a decade from crypto. They are explicitly saying they want unhosted wallets to calculate capital gains for users.
Who in the fuck would buy coffee with bitcoin if you had to pay capital gains on the purchase?
Currently in the US it’s use the dollar and get hit with inflation, or use your bitcoin and sell at a loss or pay capital gains on your purchases.
