Absent a significant change in either #Google leadership or the attitudes of their current leadership, Google is probably already on the path of a longish decline. Various U.S., EU, and likely other antitrust actions will contribute to this path, but the main driving force is utterly unforced errors by Google leadership.

All this won't happen overnight, but the pattern is much the same as with various other large tech firms that lost focus on their users'/customers' actual needs and desires, rather than what management wants to try manipulate users into accepting.
