yes, sometimes we compromise. leftists understand this because its all we ever have done. but that doesn't mean we can't think and discuss our actual priorities and aim for them, or express emotion about them, or look back at how we could have done things differently. this is what i mean by political imagination. wanting people to shut up when they dare to imagine social possibilities is a great victory for fascists, its their actual goal
