npub1slyc6w2fy6t7sk7e5caxclu2dn629l35n4tkjyxzrqndkpq86x2sfut8j7 (npub1sly…t8j7) oh, the memories… xfs was a fine filesystem, I especially remember it’s stability from being a sysadmin then, in university in the early 2000s. We were building boxes for storage (particle physics always had loads of data), and early SATA JBOD controllers where not that great. While hunting down our problems (we eventually fixed) ext2/3, jfs, raiser(!) constantly corrupted and crashed… xfs just detected, and mounted readonly… I was sold, and used it as my default fs for a long time.
