Society was better off when you were allowed to categorize things, and acknowledge innate differences between different types of people's.
Nowadays we have to pretend that humans are "blank slates" that can be programmed, or conditioned to certain behaviors, while there's truth to that, humans also have primal predisposition genetic desires, a desire for food, sex, violence, and more.
In some ways humans are like little mindless creatures that respond to stimuli, rather than independent thought, or behavior, very few are outliers, or go against the system, few break the traditions, norms, and impulses of society, they're like deer who stare at the headlights.
Most people usually cannot avoid giving in to simplistic desires, needs, and wants.
A man at a buffet, be it of any variety, sex, violence, food, or such other natural impulse, he cannot resist.
We have replaced real violence with fake violence (Videogames), real sex with fake sex (Porn), real food with highly processed artificially stimulating consumption chemicals, and the such.
