Theoretically, yes. In mainstream consumer agents, especially those offered for free, they're gonna milk the data, PII and usage for maximum profit, as they're done, without exception, for every other big tech service.

Meta paid over $15B for WhatsApp. Just the metadata alone has massive value. AI agents will be the next frontier of data mining.

Good points about sandboxed, fingerprint-free browsers, etc. I could see a team like Mullvad or FUTO doing something like that, but never big tech.

Zero Knowledge adds a lot of complexity, latency, and computational overhead. I'd prefer to see more ZK in just about everything, but don't count on it ever being implemented in a mainstream service.

I strongly agree about local AI. Quantization, optimizations, and silicon improvements are making tiny models surprisingly capable.

The future of AI, especially agents, must be local.
