Years ago, the local newspaper featured a regular "slice of life" columnist (google it, kids) named Chris Rose (no, not the ESPN guy) who wrote lightly comedic accounts of daily life in our unique city. Sadly, after the government failure called "Katrina", Chris' mental health suffered greatly and he went into a downward spiral that included addiction to "anti-depressants" and divorce. In his recovery, he mused about his sudden antipathy toward life and made a common sense but very well put statement:

"When you hate 51% of people, maybe it's YOU."

My belief is that the only war is actually rulers v proles, with the proles comprising far more than "51% of the people", and i firmly believe that the ruling class are not only at fault, but literally sociopathic.

But to those who believe in "countries" and flags, the Empire is currently in "hot war" with only a small proportion of the world's population, but teetering toward adversarial relations, at the very best, with both a large portion of the Muslim world and the "country" called "China". Do we wait until there is a "hot war" to declare that the Empire now considers very close to 51% of the world's population as its enemy? At what point do we admit that the Empire itself is the villain?
