#WritingWonders Day 18 Is your MC good at flirting?
Somewhat to my surprise, they all are.
Elena likes to tell herself she can't read people, but in fact she reads people very well - she just usually isn't interested in altering her behavior in response. When she notices someone's interested in her, she gets very good at the quick repartee. The nature of that repartee is very different if she's interested in return.
Greg had to get good at flirting at way too young an age. At this point he's adept at making the other party feel attractive while still being clear it's never going to be more than banter. Flirting is a way of keeping his distance in a particular sort of social situation.
Jessica is very good at flirting, but she sees it as a blunt instrument, to be used when there isn't a whole lot of time to get to know someone. For her it's not deflection, but an expression of genuine interest.
