Nothing really shows you how much you didn't fit in a job like leaving it. Aside from one truly terrible manager, the team I was on was great and full of nice and smart people. But big companies really find a way to squeeze inefficiency and bureaucracy into every nook and cranny of a process, and then brute force some value out of it through head count. Glad to be far away from that. I'm enjoying coding again, for fun and for work, for the first time in years.
