It happened again. A mucus plug blocked my airways and the ventilator alarm went off. The nurse, ignoring everything she had been told, rushed to see what's wrong with the machine. I typed "coughing machine" but she was too busy tending the ventilator to notice.
At that point my wife rushed from the office, saw that I was turning blue, and ordered "Coughing machine".
-But...but...what does "low VTI" mean?
