I'm slowly getting going on Mastodon so I figured its time for an #introduction

I'm a former wilderness guide still wandering around the Pacific Northwest, trying to avoid the crowds by finding strange and forgotten places.

These days you can usually find me in the Olympic Mountains searching the forests for granite erratics or just scouring the coastline for agates, or maybe just at the library in the local history section.

I'm interested in a lot of #environmentalism and #water as much a #paleoglaciology and #history

Not interested in using the mountains as a backdrop for fluffing human egos and corporate branding. De-anthropocentralize your life, I say.
