Well, the end of the world is what we're living through, and that course seems pretty firmly locked in, so why don't we TRY to end capitalism anyways, and see how that goes. Because the alternative really IS the end of the world*.
*Yes, pedants, the planet itself will survive us, but most if not all of the higher life forms emphatically will not.
