I’ve since switched to using a MacBook. For years I used vim as my primary ide at work, but works integration with vscode has gotten so good that by using vim you’re leaving so many efficiency and productivity bumps on the table.
Vim is still my go to for personal projects, but when it comes to writing c++ at work, vscode is just so nice.
Keeping vscode working on arch was a huge pita. Hence my migration to apple
