The Dem voters are stupid. But Dem power brokers are not. Something big is up and it sure looks like they will be playing pin the tail on the donkey and trump is the donkey.
The Dems want trump to take the hit and they will come in and "save" the country from whatever chaos is cooking in four years. The Republicans sure don't have anyone in the wings to do that. Vance isn't really viable for another 10 years.
