Once again, Australia's copyright law has fair dealing -- a defined list of things you can use a work for without a license. That list does not include training AI.
Australia's copyright law does not have the open-ended 'fair use' of US law.
So it's disappointing to see 'fair use' arguments being raised in Australia about AI training. It suggests the author is simply parroting some US talking point.
