friendship ended with wayland-rs and smithay, now waynest and rigoletto are my best friends
it's not personal, i just use tokio and async all over the place in stardust and smithay's control flow is.... well... confusing :p
still though i've implemented almost the whole core spec of wayland + xdg-shell in a week from the protocol stubs so like, i wonder why more people don't do it this way? it's not that hard
anyway just wanted you to know, not gloating or anything but i figured you should know since you're in the linux, xr, rust, and wayland intersection
