At this stage of the process, everything should be great before it hits plates—either both Marcin and I (laser-printed bluelines) or Marcin (ink-jet color proofs) have been examined and changes made. But occasionally we missed something or there’s an unexpected issue—then it has to start back in prepress, new plates are made, and back on the press. But this can be done in minutes—as little as 30 minutes in some cases to replate the whole press (8 plates per sheet).
