But hasn’t the compensation to artists gown down over the years? That’s been my observation. Although I could be wrong but that’s the general feeling I get from speaking to new aspiring artists. Band camp seems to be a great alternative at the moment.
I really feel that the nascent and disrupting music streaming industry is due another disruption. Unfortunately I don’t know what that will be.
Without new artists though music industry has a very bleak outlook.
