We just saw a demonstration of Google's newest quantum processor. It solved a benchmark equation that would take our fastest binary computers 10 septillion years to solve (longer than the age of the universe) in 5 minutes. Do you really not anticipate the progress that will be made in 5-10years, as quantum computers become commercially available? And once they're commercially available, they can be used for nefarious purposes by nation-states as well as private buyers. The time when these machines are potentially available to bad actors is coming.
