More specific to what I said earlier:
Energy = fat + carbs.
Shoot for P:E of ~2 or better.
Do 2-3 sprints until failure, 2-3x per week.
Sprints are great for destroying abdominal fat (just Google images of them). Even the sprints alone, without changing anything else, might take care of that for you.
