The actually useful AI-based tech isn’t labelled “AI”, because useful technology provides solutions to problems, so we talk about those. The tech is incidental and boring to the consumer.
There’s lots of useful AI-based tech (I prefer “ML”, but let’s go with it for now). I’m not convinced that sticking a chatbot in everything falls into that category.
