the key effect that the infection had was essentially an extreme anaphylactic reaction, it was similar to the reaction i get from consuming seed protein for way too long, especially wheat, but zein from corn also is bad
the disease is an allergic reaction, so removing the sources of foreign proteins is the main cure, and these parasites i am hypothesising about are basically foreign proteins that trip the immune system into hyper-reaction
