Also relevant, Nordstream 2 was blown up in the deepest part of the entire pipe. Which is actually _good_ if you want to repair it in the future, as that reduces the amount of seawater that enters, and thus reduces the length of pipe damaged by corrosion. If you were trying to destroy it for good, you'd blow it up in a shallower part, allowing the rest to flood.
