I'd like to think so; at least the section 28 comparison wrt education really ought to concentrate their minds. Also I wonder if Braverman kicking off today may actually give them cover to do the opposite to demonstrate contrast.
it's sad that we can't trust them to do the right thing from first principles, but i hope that they're sufficiently non-ideological about it that they'll just realise there's no benefit to them from attacking us.
